Arden Roofing is a locally focused residential roofing company built around a simple idea: homeowners deserve a clear explanation of what their roof needs before they are asked to make a major decision.
Our Story
Owner Caleb Whitaker grew up south of Asheville and spent much of his early working life around residential construction. He entered roofing through a local crew, first handling tear-offs and material staging before learning repair work, flashing, layout, project planning, and eventually crew leadership. Years on roofs throughout Buncombe and Henderson counties gave him an appreciation for how different Western North Carolina homes can be, even when they are only a few miles apart.
Caleb started Arden Roofing after seeing the same homeowner frustration again and again: people often knew something was wrong with their roof but did not know whether the answer was a small repair or a major replacement. He wanted the company to begin with diagnosis and explanation instead of a sales pitch. Arden became the natural home base because it was close to where he grew up and centrally located for work throughout south Asheville and the surrounding mountain communities.
Today, Arden Roofing focuses on residential roof repair, installation, and replacement. Caleb still stays close to field work and project planning, while Mason Greene helps coordinate roofing crews and Emily Brooks keeps customers informed about scheduling and project details. The company has grown, but its view of the trade remains the same: good roofing is careful construction work, and homeowners should understand what is being done to their house and why.

Roofing can be difficult to evaluate from the ground. We believe homeowners should hear what we observed and how it connects to the work being proposed.
Match the work to the problem
A repair should stay a repair when that is the sensible answer. A replacement should be recommended because the condition supports it, not because it is the largest project available.
Respect the whole property
The roof may be our work area, but the driveway, landscaping, entrances, neighboring property, and cleanup all matter to the homeowner.
Do the details that disappear
Many important roofing components are hidden once the project is complete. We treat preparation, underlayment, flashing, transitions, and fastening as essential parts of the finished job.
